NFLPA Top 50: The Jerseys Fans Actually Bought in 2025–26
Every June, the NFLPA publishes its year-end player sales list, and I read it the way scouts read combine numbers — twice, with a highlighter. It's the only ranking built from actual retail sales across more than 85 licensees, covering March 2025 through February 2026 and more than $1.9 billion in player merchandise. No vibes, no punditry. Just what fans paid for.
This year's list tells a story about a league handing its crown to a new generation. Here's the top 10, and why each name is sitting where it is:
| # | Player | Team | Why they're here |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Josh Allen | Buffalo Bills | Dethroned Mahomes. Also the top international jersey seller — his highlight-reel chaos translates everywhere. |
| 2 | Drake Maye | New England Patriots | Surged 30 spots. Led all players in postseason jersey sales — the post-Brady era has a face at last. |
| 3 | Saquon Barkley | Philadelphia Eagles | Top-selling running back for the second straight year. The 2,000-yard aura is still selling. |
| 4 | Jaxon Smith-Njigba | Seattle Seahawks | Climbed more than 50 spots for his first Top 50 appearance. The biggest single-season retail surge on the list. |
| 5 | Jayden Daniels | Washington Commanders | First player with back-to-back Top 5 finishes to start a career since Ezekiel Elliott. |
| 6 | Patrick Mahomes | Kansas City Chiefs | Eight consecutive seasons in the Top 10 — hasn't missed an NFLPA ranking since becoming a starter in 2018. |
| 7 | Jalen Hurts | Philadelphia Eagles | Third straight year an Eagles offensive duo (Hurts + Barkley) lands in the Top 10 together. |
| 8 | Caleb Williams | Chicago Bears | Sold more jerseys than anyone in Illinois — the Bears' franchise-QB hope is converting to cash. |
| 9 | Jordan Love | Green Bay Packers | First career Top 10. Green Bay's patience with its QB pipeline is paying off at the register. |
| 10 | Micah Parsons | Green Bay Packers | Led all defensive players for the third consecutive year — now doing it in green and gold. |
The storylines I can't stop thinking about
1. The Mahomes era didn't end — it got company
Yes, Allen took the crown. But Mahomes still finished sixth, still paced youth apparel sales, and still sold the most jerseys across the most individual states (nine of them, per retailer data). The Chiefs' run is a machine. What's changed is that the machine now has rivals: four of the top five are players whose first NFL contract is still wet ink.
2. Drake Maye's rise is the story of the year
A 30-spot climb doesn't happen from hype alone. Maye led postseason jersey sales — meaning fans bought in January and February, when only believers spend. New England found its post-Brady identity, and the box office agrees.
3. Defenders and runners still move product
Saquon at #3, Micah Parsons leading defenders for a third straight year, Aidan Hutchinson and T.J. Watt in the top 20. Quarterbacks dominate the list — six of the top 10 — but a generational skill player or edge rusher can still crack the ceiling. And in the rookie class, Shedeur Sanders outsold every first-round pick despite going in the fifth round: story beats draft slot, every time.
Our read: if you're buying one jersey this season, buy a riser. Allen and Maye jerseys are the ones you'll still be glad you own in 2028. And use code NEW2627SVIP for 10% off your first order of the new season.

FAQ
What is the NFLPA Top 50 player sales list?
It's the NFL Players Association's year-end ranking of player merchandise sold at retail, compiled from sales data reported by more than 85 licensees. The 2026 edition covers purchases from March 2025 through February 2026 — over $1.9 billion in retail sales.
Who was the best-selling NFL player of 2025–26?
Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills took the No. 1 spot, ending Patrick Mahomes' long run at the top. Drake Maye finished second and also led all players in postseason jersey sales.
Which rookie sold the most jerseys in the 2026 class?
Shedeur Sanders. Despite being a fifth-round pick, his Cleveland Browns jersey became the top-selling rookie jersey of the 2026 draft class, outpacing Cam Ward, Ashton Jeanty and Jaxson Dart.
Is the NFLPA list the same as jersey sales?
Not exactly — it tracks all player merchandise (jerseys, apparel, collectibles and more), not jerseys alone. But jersey demand tracks the ranking closely; the association also publishes jersey-specific callouts each year.
